A new post published on the AWS Quantum Computing Blog describes the implementation of a Recommendation Engine with Amazon Braket, the quantum computing service by Amazon Web Services. The project is a collaboration between Politecnico di Milano, Moviri and ContentWise.
The proposed approach tackles the “cold-start” problem that recommendation systems face, produces a solution comparable with traditional approaches, and reaches the required levels of accuracy while removing less informative features. Details on the algorithm adopted have been published here.
